Duty clause
This insurance covers the Insured’s contingent interest on Custom Duty arising from the insured goods arriving at the port of destination damaged by a peril insured against but full duty had been levied and paid thereon as if the goods had arrived sound provided claims payable hereunder shall not exceed ______percent of the insured value on the damage portion of the insured goods.

1. Concealed Damage Clause (60 days)
The Concealed Damage Clauses (60 days) should be read as follows :
“ Notwithstanding any term/condition/provision to the contrary, it is agreed that any loss or damage discovered on opening of externally sound cases and/or packing (even after risk has ceased hereunder but not exceeding 60 days after arrival date) shall be deemed to have occurred during the conveyance insured hereunder and shall be payable accordingly, unless proof conclusive to the contrary be established.
It is being understood that any cases and/or packing showing visible signs of damage be opened immediately”

VESSEL CLAUSE
Shipments per steamer and/or motor vessels are subject to the Institute Classification Clause C1, 354 dated 1.1.01 or as amended.
Any shipments that would be covered hereunder but for the provisions of the Institute Classification Clause are held covered at an additional premium to be agreed, and the terms of Institute Classification Clause shall not prejudice any claim hereunder, when presentation of the advice of such claim to Underwriters is the first indication that a transshipment, beyond the control of the assured, has been made by a vessel which is not covered within the terms of such Institute Classification Clause, provided the appropriatc additional premium is paid as soon as practicable thereafter Additional premium in respect of the Institute Classification Clause to be as per London Schedule with column 1 (b) rates to prevail irrespective of tonnage or otherwise.

CAPITAL ADDITIONS CLAUSE
The insurance hereby extends to cover alterations, additions and improvements (but not appreciation in value) in excess of the sums insured to property specified in the Policy for an amount not exceeding 10 % of the sums insured thereby or an amount specified in the policy whichever is the less, it being understood that the Insured undertakes to advise the Insurer each quarter of such alterations, additions and improvements and to pay the appropriate additional premium thereon.
APPRAISEMENT VALUE CLAUSE
If the aggregate claim for anyone loss does not exceed 5 (five) per cent of the sum insured by the item or items affected (whichever may be the less) no special inventory or appraisement of the undamaged property shall be required.
If two or more buildings be included in a single item, this provision shall apply to the range of buildings insured by this item.
For the purpose of this clause, the term “item” shall be held to the total sum insured on buildings and/or contents by the items affected.
